The majority of Autstic Adults report feelings of being broken, of inadequacy, and of being “on the outside'' while they were growing up, and often all the way up until the point of receiving their diagnosis. They share that knowing about their Autism and better understanding their brains and why they are the way they are is freeing and helps them better self-advocate. We can do better for the next generation by supporting Autistic kids early, by providing them with accurate, up to date, and non-stigmatizing information about Autism. 
 
Therapists rarely agree on 100% of things, but I think we can all agree that we do truly want what’s best for the kids we serve. Providing Autistic kids with information that will support their ability to self-advocate, increase their self-esteem, and have positive benefits to their mental health will CHANGE LIVES.
